Call for Technical Proposals:Training on Solid Waste Management for Job Creation and Green Economy

The Partnership for Inclusive Rural Opportunities (PIRO) is seeking qualified organizations or consultants to conduct a comprehensive training program on utilizing solid waste as a source for job creation and green economy.

Background:
Recent assessments have shown that over 65% of communities and entities have low awareness of waste management. This training aims to improve awareness and knowledge about green job opportunities through solid waste management among Local Authorities (LAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

Training Objectives:
– Improve awareness of LAs and CSOs on Green Job Opportunities through Solid Waste Management
– Provide theoretical and practical skills for implementing sustainable waste management projects

Training Structure:
– 2 Modular Trainings (7 days total)
– 3 days theoretical training in August 2024
– 4 days practical training between October – December 2024

Key Topics to be Covered:
1. Introduction to Solid Waste Management
2. Benefits of Utilizing Solid Waste for Job Creation and Green Economy
3. Identifying Opportunities in Solid Waste Management
4. Practical Tips for Implementing Solid Waste Management Projects

We invite qualified organizations or consultants to submit technical proposals outlining their approach to delivering this training program. Proposals should include:

2. Proposed schedule for theoretical and practical sessions
3. Trainer qualifications and experience
4. Budget breakdown
5. Plan for participant engagement and follow-up
